Professional Activities
Barbara Marcouiller is an active member of the American Immigraiton Lawyers' Association (AILA). AILA is the American Bar Association recognized immigration bar. She has held a number of positions on behalf of the Washington State chapter of that organization including chapter officer, Chair of the Congressional Liaison Committee, Co-liaison to the U.S. consulate in Vancouver, British Columbia, and member of the Immigration Court Liaison Committee.
Barbara has been a speaker at professional seminars including: AILA's Northwest Regional Seminar in Seattle, 1998, on "Methods of Obtaining Permanent Residence," in Portland, 1999, on "Ethics Issues in Family Based Immigration Cases;" and a King County Bar Association continuing legal education seminar, 1999, "Representing Cancellation of Removal Cases."
